The Poyen Board of Education met in Regular session on Thursday, August 12, 2004 in the boardroom.

 

A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by Kathy Gravitt to approve Bailey and Associates as architect for the new high school project.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by Tommy Moore and seconded by Lester Webb to approve the elementary and secondary handbooks for 2004-2005 and the board policy book for 2004-2005.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by Tommy Moore and seconded by Lester Webb to approve the Annual Financial Report for 2003-2004 and Budget for 2004-2005.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by Kathy Gravitt and seconded by David Phillips to accept the legal transfers for Anthony Milden, Emily Hope, Bodie Hope, Parker Hope, Haley Ellis, Dilan Taylor, John Garrison, Dakota Brawley, Michaela Goyne, and Charles Mitchell.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by David Phillips and seconded by Tommy Moore to approve the resolution to enter the TAPS program with Dawson Coop.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by Kathy Gravitt to set the date of September 7, 2004 to have the public meeting to discuss goals and progress for Poyen Schools at 7:00 p.m.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by David Phillips and seconded by Tommy Moore for Kathy Gravitt to remain the primary board member disbursing officer and Lester Webb to remain the alternate disbursing officer.  Motion carried.

 

The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 13, 2004, at 7:00 p.m.
