The Poyen Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, April 5, in the boardroom.

A motion was made by Kathy Gravitt and seconded by Nathan Goodman to employ Beth Evans as elementary secretary, Carol Walker as a teacher, Brad Newton and Jamie Webb to fill the bus driving opening, and to authorize the superintendent to hire an additional teacher/paraprofessional for middle school grades.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by David Phillips to employ Eddie Layrock as a teacher-coach, Martha Moore as an aide, Amy Thompson as an elementary teacher, and Aimee Henderson as a teacher-paraprofessional for 2005-2006 school year.

Motion carried.

A motion was made by Nathan Goodman and seconded by Lester Webb to accept the resignation of Mrs. Carla Batchelor as teacher, Ms. Elliott as bus driver, and Mrs. Amy Butler as teacher.  Motion carried.

A motion was made David Phillips and seconded by Kathy Gravitt to delete equipment on attached inventory deletion list.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Kathy Gravitt and seconded by Nathan Goodman to review and approve the attached audit report.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by David Phillips to accept the bid from Harrington Construction Company for the high school building project.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by Kathy Gravitt to accept the legal transfer of Justin Keating.  Motion carried.
