The Poyen Board of Education met in regular session
on Monday, October 16, 2006, in the boardroom.
A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by Kathy Gravitt to
approve the September 7 board minutes and the September revenue &
expenditure report. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by David Phillips to
employ Jennifer Wheatley for temporary aide position for the 2006-2007
school year. The position will not be for 2007-2008. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Kathy Gravitt and seconded by Nathan Goodman to
review and approve the audit report for the school year ending June 30,
2005. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Nathan Goodman and seconded by David Phillips to
approve the attached inventory deletion list. Motion carried.
A motion was made by David Phillips and seconded by Nathan Goodman to
have a faculty and staff Christmas party of be planned by the
superintendent. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Kathy Gravitt and seconded by Lester Webb to
approve the resolution for construction on a new K-6 elementary
building. Motion carried.
The board meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. The next board meetings are
scheduled for November 2 and December 1.
