The Poyen Board of Education met in regular session on
Thursday, February 15, 2007 in the boardroom.
A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by David Phillips to approve
January’s board minutes and financial report. Motion carried.
A motion was made by David Phillips and seconded by Kathy Gravitt to extend Mr.
Daniel’s contract through June 2010 and Ms. Elliott’s contract through June
2008. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by David Phillips to accept the
resignation of Archie McCoy from the bus and Shannon Minton as teacher. Motion
carried.
A motion was made by David Phillips and seconded by Kathy Gravitt to employ Ella
Rena West as bus driver and to employ Melissa Minton as teacher. Ms. Minton must
meet state certification requirements. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Kathy Gravitt and seconded by Lester Webb to approve the
school calendar for 2007-2008. Motion carried.
The board meeting adjourned at 7:30. The next board meeting is scheduled for
MARCH 6, 2007.
