The Poyen Board of Education met in regular session
on Tuesday, January 9, in the boardroom.
A motion was made by David Phillips and seconded by Lester Webb to
approve the December 1 board minutes and the December revenue &
expenditure report. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Nathan Goodman and seconded by Lester Webb to adopt
the resolutions for Lynn and Cindy Oden DBA Lynn Oden Backhoe Service,
Jim and Nancy Melton and sons DBA Melton Construction & Melton Masonry,
Bill and Paula Clements and sons DBA Clements & Sons Roofing. Motion
carried.
A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by David Phillips to
extend Superintendent Jerry Newton’s contract through June 2010. Motion
carried.
The board discussed and held a public forum to allow public input on the
district’s ten year facility plan and construction projects.
The next board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, FEBRUARY 15, 2007.
