The Poyen Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in the boardroom.

 

A motion was made by Tommy Moore and seconded by David Phillips to approve the financial report and board minutes for April.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by Tommy Moore to approve the additional duty, bus, cafeteria, and certified salary schedules for 2007-2008.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by David Phillips and seconded by Lester Webb to accept the resignation of Annette Wilson effective May 25, 2007.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by Tommy Moore and seconded by David Phillips to hire Bailey and Associates as architect for the new elementary school project.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by David Phillips to hire Stephens Inc. as financial advisor for the new elementary school project.  Motion carried.

 

The board discussed the new elementary school project and the need for a millage request.
