A meeting of the Board of Education of Poyen School District No. 1.

MINUTES OF BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Poyen Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 in the boardroom.

A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by Kathy Gravitt to approve the August board minutes and August financial report. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Nathan Goodman and seconded by Tommy Moore to employ Tina Harp as an aide. Motion carried.

A motion was made by David Phillips and seconded by Nathan Goodman to approve the leave of absence of DeAndra Spivey. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Tommy Moore and seconded by Lester Webb to elect board officers as follows: President-Kathy Gravitt, Vice Pres.-Tommy Moore, and Secretary-David Phillips. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Kathy Gravitt and seconded by David Phillips to delete equipment as per the attached inventory deletion list. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Lester Webb and seconded by Kathy Gravitt to adopt mandatory attendance for students in grades 9-12. See attached policy. Motion carried.

The next board meetings are scheduled for Oct. 4 and Nov. 1.
